February 19 – Weekly Fishing Report

Date: February 18, 2021

Welcome to Fishbones weekly report for February 19, 2021. Captain Fish’s thoughts of the week….. it seems we are having warmer than usual weather for February. White bait has returned to the harbor in full force. Let us pray that they stay! At this point in time we have a mix of winter fish, Cobia, Trout and Sheephead that are eating crustaceans. Our spring time fish Snook, Redfish and Tarpon are ready to start gorging themselves on the delicious white bait that has returned. They are preparing so that they can spawn later this summer.

We fish Lee & Charlotte County waters, including Fort Myers, Pine Island Sound, Matalacha, St James City, Charlotte Harbor, Myakka River, Peace River, and the world famous BOCA GRANDE.
